Organizational Support
In addition to individual supporters, several organizations are supporting Justice Paul Anderson.
St. Paul Pioneer Press
On October 28, the Saint Paul Pioneer Press endorsed Justice Paul Anderson for the Minnesota Supreme Court saying "we believe Paul Anderson is the clear choice for this seat and we endorse his re-election." (emphasis added), In its editorial endorsing Justice Anderson the Pioneer Press noted that Justice Anderson is "an enthusiastic advocate for the court's work and history" and "often can be found among students and civic groups explaining how courts work and the principles and ideas behind them." The editorial went on to say that Justice Anderson is "often called upon nationally and internationally to explain the American judicial system and the rule of law." The Pioneer Press also noted that Anderson is "passionate about impartiality among judges," "speaks convincingly of the humility required of judges," and that he "argues that the guarantee of freedom is to be found in a balance of powers."
On November 2 in a follow-up editorial describing its endorsement procedures, the Pioneer Press said "It was a privilege to listen to Supreme Court Justice Paul Anderson talk enthusiastically about history and his beloved judiciary."
